Why we chose direct trade over certification
Certification schemes do real work, but their fees are often out of reach for smallholder families, and the premium that reaches the farm can be a fraction of the shelf-price markup. Many of our partner farms farm organically by default — no synthetic inputs, composted pod husks, shade-grown canopy — without carrying a label.
Instead of labels, we provide transparency: residue testing on request, documented farm practices, and an open invitation for buyers to visit the farms themselves.
